Beacon works across groups and communities to coordinate disaster recovery in Yancey County and beyond. Beacon facilitates and amplifies direct action from the ground up by partnering with local leaders and organizations, coordinating to meet needs and bridge valuable relationships.

Grassroots Aid Partnership is headquartered in Asheville, NC, which means the flooding of Hurricane Helene devastated our home community. GAP is working tirelessly to provide nourishing food, clean water, and fortifying aid to the survivors of the horrific flooding.
